Privacy Policy
Le Module is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our software-as-a-service platform.
Data Controller
The data controller for the account and billing data we process about you is Le Module.
Data We Collect
We collect the following personal data when you use the platform:
- Account information: name, email address, and phone number
- Workspace information: the site name, domain, and configuration you set up
- Billing data: subscription plan, billing history, and the payment details processed by Stripe
- Support data: the messages and information you send us through our contact form
- Technical data: log data and cookies strictly necessary for the platform to function
Purpose of Processing
Your personal data is processed for the following purposes:
- Creating and managing your account and authentication
- Providing, operating, and improving the platform and your workspace
- Managing your subscription, free trial, billing, and renewals
- Providing customer support and responding to your requests
- Sending service-related communications and, with your consent, product updates
- Ensuring the security, integrity, and proper operation of the platform
Data You Process as a Customer
When you operate a site on the platform, you may collect and store personal data about your own end users. For that data, you act as the data controller and we act as your processor: we host and process it solely to provide the service and on your instructions. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect it and for providing your own end users with appropriate privacy information.
Privacy and Third-Party Providers
The confidentiality of your data is a priority. We do not rely on any external provider to process your personal data, including for sending our emails, which we handle ourselves. The only exception is Stripe, which securely processes payments and subscriptions and accesses only the data necessary for that purpose; we never have access to your payment card details. We do not sell or share your personal data for commercial purposes.
Hosting and GDPR Compliance
Our servers are hosted in Europe and comply with the obligations of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), in order to safeguard the freedom and autonomy of our users. Your data is not shared with any third party, except Stripe for payment processing, and we remain fully independent from any large technology company.
Cookies
We only use cookies that are strictly necessary for the platform to function, such as authentication and session management. We do not use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking.
Data Retention
Your personal data is retained for as long as your account remains active and for the legally required period thereafter (for example, accounting and tax obligations for subscription payments). After your account is closed, your workspace data is deleted within a reasonable period, except where we are legally required to retain it.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure, and we take daily backups. Payment card details are handled directly by Stripe and are not stored on our servers.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Rectify inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Request a portable copy of the data you provided
- Withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
