Coaches and activities
A session always combines a coach and an activity. Those two collections are therefore to be filled in before touching the planning calendar — and they also feed the public site, where every coach and every activity has its own page.
Activities
An activity is what you offer: yoga, strength, pilates, one-to-one coaching. It carries a translated name and description, tags, an availability note, and a gallery of images and videos that makes up its public page.
Coaches
A coach has a profile picture, a short bio and a long description, both translated, tags, a phone number and a contact email, plus a gallery of images and videos. A coach is not an account: it is a profile. If your coach also needs to reach the admin panel, create an administrator account for them as well.
Linking a coach to an activity
The link between the two is declared once, on the coach’s record or on the activity’s — both screens edit the same association. It decides which activities are offered when you create a session for that coach: a coach linked to no activity cannot run any session.
On the public site
- Every coach and every activity has its own page, with its description, gallery and videos.
- The "Coaches grid" and "Activities grid" blocks display them on any page, the home page included.
- The public planning lets visitors filter sessions by coach and by activity: two natural entry points.
A coach’s credits
A product can be attached to a coach: the credits it grants then only work for that coach’s sessions. That is how a "10 sessions with Marie" pass is sold, as opposed to a universal pass. The topic is covered in "Credits".
Deleting a coach or an activity still used by sessions is refused: clear the sessions involved from the planning calendar first.
