The initial setup

The initial setup is the screen that turns a fresh site into a usable one. It creates the starter content for you: all that is left is to replace it with your own. It is the second thing to do, after filling in the general settings — because the site name and the contact email are reused in the generated content.

What can be generated

Each item is ticked independently: generate everything at once, or only what you are missing.

  • Visual identity — a default icon for the favicon, the logo and the app icon, never overwriting an image you already uploaded.
  • Top menu and footer — the navigation bar and the columns of links.
  • Home page, contact page (with its form) and legal pages (terms and conditions, privacy policy), written from your company name.
  • Coaching and activities — demo coaches, categories and activities, to rename or delete.
  • Sample products — a few shop products with their media and variants.
  • Email templates — the branded templates for bookings, orders, subscriptions and the newsletter. Do not skip this one: without templates, your emails go out with neither your logo nor your colors.

The two modes

By default the generation is cautious: it only creates what does not exist yet, and leaves everything you already have untouched. That is the mode to use to top up a site along the way — for instance to pick up an email template added to the platform after your installation.

Ticking "Recreate these items" changes everything: the selected items are deleted then recreated in their original version. Your edits to those items are lost. That mode is for starting over on a site with no real content yet — not for refreshing a live site.

The generated content is not set in stone: the pages are recomposed block by block, the coaches and activities are renamed, the products are deleted. Treat it as a starting point, not as a frame.
