Newsletters
Unlike the automatic emails, a newsletter goes out when you decide, to all your subscribers at once. It is the tool to announce a new class, a closure, an offer.
Who receives it
The recipients are the users of your studio who agreed to receive the newsletter — the box is ticked by the customer in their account, and you can correct it on their record. There is no list to maintain: the list is that box. Everyone receives the email in their own language.
Writing
A newsletter carries a subject, a title and a rich-text body, to be entered in both languages. As in the email templates, variables can be inserted between the <%= and %> markers — <%= customerFirstName %> thus personalizes every send with the recipient’s first name. The layout, header, logo and signature come from your settings: you only write the message.
Test, then send
- The test send delivers the newsletter to your address alone. It stays a draft, nothing is counted: do it every time — a sent email cannot be recalled.
- The real send goes to every subscriber. The newsletter then turns "sending", then "sent", and its subject, title and content become read-only: the email sent and the record of it therefore always match.
- Re-sending an already-sent newsletter doubles up on no one: those who already received it are skipped, and only new subscribers get it.
The number of sends per month is capped — the quota and its consumption are visible in the Emails tab of the settings. Only newsletters count: booking, order and account emails never do, however many there are.
After the send
The recipient count and the send date are shown on the newsletter. The detail — who received what, and which sends failed — is read in the email logs. A sent newsletter can no longer be deleted; only a draft can.
