Using your own domain name

To point your domain name at the studio IP address, you need to edit the A record in the DNS zone held by your registrar.

The exact procedure varies from one provider to another. As an example, here are the steps for OVHcloud (adapt the wording if you use another provider):

Log in to the customer area at: https://www.ovh.com/auth/

In the top menu, click Web Cloud, then Domain names, and select the domain concerned.

Go to the DNS zone tab.

Before changing anything, keep a backup of the current configuration:

  • click Edit in text mode, copy the whole content displayed, then paste it into a safe local file.
  • Then go back to the standard DNS zone view.

Look for the existing A record.

  • If it exists, click the edit icon (pencil) at the end of the row and replace the Target (IPv4) value with this address: 37.27.125.35
  • If there is no A record yet, click Add an entry, select the A record, then enter the same IP address in the field provided.

Confirm the changes.

The update takes effect once DNS propagation completes, which can take a few hours.

Important: once the change is made, tell the studio technical team through the contact form, so we can add your new domain name to our configuration.
