The discovery offer

The discovery offer is a content block that turns a visitor into a paying customer on a single page: they discover the offer, create their account, pay, and leave with their credits and a button to book their first session. This is the link to share in a post, an email campaign or on a flyer.

The price, the credits granted and the associated coach all come from the product sold: there is nothing to re-enter, so the page cannot advertise an amount different from the one actually charged.

Prepare the product sold

Create or pick a product that meets these conditions:

  • It is published. A draft product stays invisible and the offer does not appear.
  • Its billing interval is "One-time purchase". Subscriptions are sold with the Pricing block, not here.
  • It has a price above zero. For a free appointment, use appointment booking instead.
  • Its credit count matches what the offer promises (for example 3 credits for three sessions). Leave the coach empty for credits usable with any coach.

A product reserved for this offer is made by unchecking its Visible on site box: it disappears from the shop, from carousels and from product grids, but the offer keeps selling it. That is how you run a discovery price without it showing up in the catalogue.

Online payment must be configured: see online payment.

Build the page

From the pages, create a page, then add the "Discovery offer" block to its layout. The page address is the one you will share.

The block offers the following fields:

  • Product sold: only one-time purchase products are offered.
  • Title, description and "What's included": your sales pitch.
  • Image: an optional illustration shown beside the offer.
  • Price note: for example "one-off payment, no commitment".
  • Button label, confirmation title and message: leave empty to use the default wording.
  • Active: unticked, the offer disappears from the page even though the page stays published. This is how to stop an offer without unpublishing the page or losing its content.

Nothing stops you surrounding the block with the usual other blocks: a banner, testimonials, an FAQ. The page stays an ordinary content page, with its SEO and its translations.

What the visitor experiences

  • They discover the offer, its price and the credits included.
  • They create their account on the spot. If they already have an account with that email, the form automatically switches to login, without leaving the page.
  • They pay by card, on the same page. No postal address is asked of them.
  • Their credits are granted as soon as the payment goes through, they receive the order confirmation email, and a button invites them to book their first session.

The order appears in the orders, and the customer balance in the credit balances, as for any other purchase.

Keeping the offer for newcomers

A discovery offer only makes sense once: it is there to bring somebody in, not to supply them with discounted sessions every month. The Max purchases per customer field, on the product record sold, sets that limit. Enter 1 so each person can take it only once.

A customer who has already used the offer then sees a sentence saying so in place of the payment button, as soon as they log in on the page. The payment is refused before any money is taken, and a cancelled or refunded order gives them back the right to buy.

If the offer does not appear

The block renders nothing at all, rather than showing a wrong offer, in these cases:

  • The "Active" checkbox is unticked.
  • The product is no longer published, or has been deleted.
  • The product was switched to a subscription after the block was configured.
  • The product has no price.
